United Steel Engineering & Construction Corp is
a transferred investment of China Steel Structure Co.,
Ltd (CSSC). Its purpose of establishment is to manage
construction projects that are based on steel structures
and supported by civil engineering and to provide construction
services for public and private industrial constructions,
communications constructions and urban constructions.
Preparation for this company began in the second half
of 1984, CSSC submitted an investment proposal to the
Ministry of Economic Affairs Investment Commission,
which was transferred to the Ministry of the Interior,
and we were approved as a class A construction company.
Our formal establishment was in January 1985 when MOEA
issued our license and we began operations in April
the same year.

CSSC is our main shareholder
with 99.99% of our shares, the remaining 0.01%
is held by six natural person shareholders.
Our initial capital was NT$25 million, and it
was gradually increased to NT$410 million due
to business needs.

| Up to the
end of December 2007, we have undertaken 426 construction
projects and accumulated a total business volume
of NT$47.831 billion. We have already completed
403 of the 426 construction projects and the remaining
23 projects will all be completed before the end
of 2008. In our 22 years of operation, we have
completed office buildings, medical buildings,
apartment buildings, electronic technology factories,
industrial factories, MRT constructions, bridge
and road constructions, and gymnasium architectures,
and we are confident to say that we have established
a sound business foundation. |
